Dimitris Lymberidis was born in 1957 in Kastanies, Evros, Greece. He was taught the art of ceramics by Michael Tabakopoulos in Kolybari, Hania, Crete while attending courses at Pallikaris Eftihios' workshop. In 1981 he establishes his first workshop in Hania, Crete.

In 1984 he moves to Heraklion, Crete, to create his second workshop, in Ammoudara. He establishes a production workshop as well as an exhibition area to demonstrate not only his own but other significant artists' work.

Between 1982 and 1984 he takes part in various group and personal exhibitions in Greece. From 1985 t0 1992 he was a permanent exhibitor -twice a year- at the Frankfurt, Germany International Expo and also took part in the international expos of Berlin, Ganders and Madrid. Since 1982 his work is exported to Germany. He has undertaken educational trips to Eire, Cyprus and Italy. In 1996 he observed an invitation from the museum of Archaeological and Late Ceramics in Santiva and Bordeaux, France, to demonstrate techniques of making Minoan clay jars and animal-form idols.

He has been a member of the board of the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce and a member of the board of the committee for further education of Heraklion. He is the chairman of 'Keramon', the association of Friends Of Cretan Ceramics.
